Answer:

3.25% profit

Step-by-step explanation:

laptop=40000

mobile=24000

profit of 8% on laptop=(8/100)*40000

= 3200 rs profit

means selling price of laptop is 40000+3200 = 43200 Rs

loss of 12% on mobile = (12/100)*24000

= 2880 Rs loss

means the selling price is 24000 - 2880 = 22880 rs

total price when the shopkeeper brought them = 40000 + 24000 = 64000 Rs

therefore total cost price is 64000 rs

total selling price = 43200 + 22880 = 66080 Rs

now here selling price is more than cost price therefore it is a profit.

profit = 66080 - 64000 = 2080 Rs

profit% = (total profit/cost price) * 100

profit% = (2080/64000)*100

            = 3.25% profit

Hope it helps
