Answer:

The person’s image will be 0.81 m in front of concave mirror.

Explanation:

R = -1.5 m (Concave mirror)

u = - 10 m

f = R/2 = -1.5/2 = - 0.75 m

we know,

1/v + 1/u = 1/f

⇒ 1/v + 1/(-10) = 1/(-0.75)

⇒ 1/v = 1/10 – 1/0.75 = 1/10 – 100/75

= 1/10 – 4/3 = (3 – 40)/30 = - (37/30)

∴ v = - (30/37) = -0.81 m

Answer:

-0.8 m

Explanation:

given:-

r= -1.5 m

u= -10 m

f= r/2 = 1.5/2 = -0.75 m

.: f = -0.75 m

to find:- person image (v) = ?

formula:- 1/v + 1/u = 1/f

solution:-

from the given formula,

1/v + 1/u = 1/f

put the values of given in the formula

1/v + 1/-10 = 1/-0.75

1/v = (1/-10) - (1/-0.75)

1/v = 1/10 - 100/75

1/v = 1/10 - 4/3

1/v = (3-40)/30

1/v = -37/30

1/v = -0.81 m

hence, the person image is formed on -0.81 m
