A large pizza has toppings of capsicum and onion. in total there are 25 pieces of both on the pizza. if there are 4 times as many onions pieces as capsicum pieces. how many pieces, how many pieces of each vegetable are there on the pizza?

Let the number of Capsicum toppings be x and the number of onion toppings be y.

Now in total there are 25 pieces of vegetables.
So we can write it as [x + y = 25] ----------- (1)

Now, Given that The number of onion pieces is 4 times more than the capsicum pieces,
y = 4x -------------- (2)

Put (2) in (1)
x + 4x = 25 or x = 5

So the number of onion pieces (y) is 25-5 = 20 and the number of Capsicum pieces (x) is 5.
