Given

a = 25

d = 25

l = 900

So AP is 25,50,75,......900

l = a+(n-1)d

900 = 25+(n-1).25

875/25 = n-1

35 = n-1

n = 36

S = n/2[a+l]

S = 36/3[25+900]

S = 12×925

S = 11100

So the tank had been leaking for 36 hours and total amount of water lost is 11100 litres.
