The sound concentrated at 10/3 m from the back wall of the  depression. The minus sign indicates that the object ad image are o the same side of the mirror.

Explanation:

Given data:

Radius = 2.5 m

(Distance of object) "u" = - 2 m

R (radius of curvature)  = -2.5 m

Focal length of concave mirror "f"  = R/2  = -2.5/2 m

By using Mirror formula:

1/f   = 1/v + 1/u

- (1/2.5 ÷2 )  = 1/v - 1/2

1/v = 1/2 - 2/2.5 = 5 - 8 /10 = -3/10

v = -10/3 m

Thus the sound concentrated at 10/3 m. The minus sign indicates that the object ad image are o the same side of the mirror.
