= 96×20/100 = 19.2 kg

Weight of water - melon pulp = 20 kg – 19.2 kg

= 0.8 kg

Let the reduced weight of the water - melon be x kg. Then,

Weight of water in the water - melon after evaporation = 95%

=> Weight of pulp = 5%

Therefore, 5% of x = 0.8 kg

=> 5% of x = 0.8 kg

=> x = 16 kg.
