Speed of laser beam = Speed of light because LASER stands for light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation also radio waves also travel at the speed of light since they are also electromagnetic waves like light.
Now,
Speed of laser beam=3×10^8m/sec
time taken to reach earth=2.6sec
a=(v-u)/t={(3×10^8)-0}/2.6
from the equation of motion we have,
=>S=ut+1/2at^2=0×2.6+1/2×(3×10^8/2.6)×(2.6)^2
=0+3.9×10^8=3.9×10^8m
