Answer:

Conventional source of light is not suitable to obtain sustained interference because of the coherent nature of laser light.

Explanation:

The coherence of the laser light is unique and it’s not possible to find coherence of the laser with our eyes. If the light waves are in phase then it is called coherence. To form a sustained interference the following conditions should be proved by the light sources.

i) Sources of light should be small

ii) Sources of light should be coherent

iii) Should lie close to each other to develop broad and distinct fringes.

These conditions are proven by the laser light but in conventional sources of light does not satisfy all the above condition. So the conventional sources of light cannot obtain sustained interference.
