A lawn 50m long and 40m broad has a path of uniform width 8m outside it. Find the area of the path and the cost of levelling it at the rate of $50 per square meter.​

area of the lawn including path

=50+8+8=66

=40+8+8=56

66*56=3696m²

area of th path =area of the lawn including path-total area of the lawn

                       =3696-2000

=1696m²

area of path =1696m²

=1696*50

=84800 rupees
