Answer:

Perimeter of the lawn :-

The length of the lawn (l)= 18m

The breadth of the lawn (b) = 13m

The perimeter of a rectangle = 2 × (length + breadth)

Since, the lawn is a rectangle the perimeter of the lawn would be :

= 2 × (l + b)

= 2 x (18 + 13)

= 2 x 31

= 62 m

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Length of the wire to fence :-

A long wire is used to fence the lawn.

since the wire will fit on the sides of the lawn its length will be equal to the perimeter of the lawn.

length of the wire = perimeter of the lawn

= length of wire = 62 m

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cost of fencing :-

5 rs per unit length.

for 1 m wire ,the cost of fencing would be = 5 Rs.

for 62 m wire ,the cost of fencing would be = (5 x 62) Rs.

= 310 Rs.

Hence, the cost of fencing a lawn with length 18m and breadth 13 m would be 310 Rs.

Answer:

62m = Rs. 310

Length of the lawn = 18 m

Breadth of the lawn = 13 m

Perimeter = 2(L + B)

= 2(18 + 13) m

= 2(31) m

= 62 m

Cost of the lawn per metre = Rs. 5

Cost of the lawn = 62 m × Rs. 5

= Rs. 310
