In figure,
diameter of larger semicircle = 7+0.7+0.7 = 8.4
radius of larger semicircle = 4.2 (R)

diameter of smaller semicircle = 7
radius of smaller semicircle = 3.5 (r)

Now,
Area of flower bed = Area(larger semicircle) - Area(smaller semicircle)

3πR² - 3πr²
3π ( R²-r²) (taking 3π as common)
3π ( 17.64-12.25)
3π (5.39)
3*22/7*5.39
3*22*0.77
= 50.82 m²


therefore, the area of flower bed = 50.82 m²
