Answer :

20,000 tiles

Step-by-step explanation :

Length of lawn (l) = 20 m = 2000 cm

Breadth of lawn (b) = 7.5 m = 750 cm

Area of lawn = length × Breadth

                     = ( 2000 × 750 )

                    = 1,500,000 cm²

Length of tiles (l) = 3 cm

Breadth of tiles (b) = 2.5 dm = 25 cm

Area of tiles = length × breadth

                     = ( 3 × 25 )

                     = 75 cm²

Number of tiles = Area of lawn / Area of tiles

                           = 1500000 / 75

                           = 20,000 tiles

Hence, the required number of tiles is 20,000.

Answer :

The number of tiles are 20000.

Step-by-step explanation :

Given,

Length, l=20\:m=2000\:cm

Breadth, b=7.5\:m=750\:cm

Area of each tiles -

⇒ 3 cm × 2.5 dm

⇒ 3 cm × 25 cm

Number of tiles -

⇒ area of lawn / area of each tiles

⇒ (2000 × 750) / (3 × 25)

⇒ 20000 tiles
