In the poem, Saint peters is very faint and hungry so he went to a cottage and asked a lady to give him a piece of cake... But the lady is so greedy that she didn't gave a single piece of cake to St.Peters...... In this way St.Peters became angry and made the lady a woodpecker , so that she could realise the importance of food.........

MORAL---- We should never become so greedy to anyone or we will realise it's effect later....
