♠ First we will find the total distance to be covered, i.e. the perimeter.

Given length (l) = 58 m 60 cm = 58.6 m

Given breadth (b) = 41 m 40 cm = 41.4 m

•°• Perimeter,

\sf{= 2 (l + b)}

\sf{= 2 (58.6 + 41.4)}

\sf{= 2 \times 100}

\sf{= 200 m}

♦ And, the man will go four times around the field.

•°• Total distance,

\sf{= 200 \times 4}

\sf{= 800 m}

♠ Then,

Total distance = 800 m

Speed = 2.5 m/s

•°• Time,

\sf{= \frac{Total Distance}{Speed}}

\sf{= \frac{800}{2.5}}

\sf{= 320 s}

\sf{≈ 5.3 min}

♥ •°• The man will take about 5 min and 3 seconds to go around the field four times. ♥

Answer:

Perimeter of field=2*(5860+4140)

=20000 m

4 times perimeter=20000*4=80000 m

time taken by man=80000/2.5

=32000secs
