Here, ABCD is given rectangular field.

The ratio of length to breadth if 4:3.

Let 4x be length and 3x be breadth of rectangular field.

Diagonal (AC)=200m

In △ABC,

⇒ (AC)

2

=(AB)

2

+(BC)

2

[ By Pythagoras theorem ]

⇒ (200)

2

=(4x)

2

+(3x)

2

⇒ 40000=16x

2

+9x

2

⇒ 40000=25x

2

⇒ x

2

=1600

⇒ x=40

⇒ Length of rectangle (AB)=4x=4×40=160m

2

⇒ Breadth of rectangle (BC)=3x=3×40=120m

2

⇒ Area of rectangular field ABCD=AB×BC

=160×120

=19200m
