Given:-

  • A length of rectangle is twice to its breadth.

  • Perimeter of rectangle is 96cm.

To find out:-

Find the length of rectangle?

Formula used:-

 \boxed{ \sf{Perimeter = 2(l + b)}}

Solution:-

Let the breadth be x.

Then,length = 2x

★ According to the question,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( length + breadth )

⇒ 96 = 2 ( 2x + x )

⇒ 96 = 2 × 3x

⇒ 96 = 6x

⇒ 6x = 96

⇒ x = 96/6

⇒ x = 16 cm

Now,

Length = 2x

Substituting the values of x,we get:

⇒ 2 × 16

⇒ 32 cm

Hence,the length of rectangle is 32 cm.

Given:

  • Length of the rectangle is twice of the breadth.
  • Perimeter of the rectangle = 96 cm.

To find:

The length of the rectangle.

Solution:

Let the breadth of the rectangle be, 'n'.

Length of the rectangle is twice of the breadth.

∴ Length of the rectangle is = (n×2)

                                              = 2n

The perimeter of the rectangle is 96 cm.

We know that,

Perimeter = 2(Length+Breadth)

∴ According to the problem,

96 = 2(2n+n)

⇒ 96 = 2×3n

⇒ 96 = 6n

⇒6n = 96

⇒n = (96÷6)

⇒ n = 16 cm.

∴ The breadth of the rectangle is 16 cm.

So, the length of the rectangle is(16×2) cm

                                                    = 32 cm

Answer:

                  The length of the rectangle is 32 cm.
