Explanation:

GIVEN :

  1. U = 15cm ;
  2. ;V = 60cm ;
  3. ;F = ? ;

SOLUTION :

By using Lens formula;

(1/f)=(1/v) + (1/u)

=> 1/f = (1/60) + (1/15)

=> 1/f = (1+4)/60

=> 1/f = 5/60 = 1/12

=> f =12

So, focal length of the lens is 12cm.
