A letter A consists of a uniform wire of resistance 1 ohm per cm. The sides of the letter are each 20 cm long and the cross-piece in the middle is 10 cm long while the apex angle is. Find the resistance of the letter between the two ends of the legs.​

Let us solve the total resistance for this given "A"Letter

Explanation:

It is given that :

Resistance per centimeter=1 ohm

Apex angle =60 degree (this is given just for confusing otherwise nothing to  do with this value in numerical)

By using this data the diagram is constructed a shown in figure that is attached .

Now , the total resistance in the upper part ;

R1 and R2 is in series .

Therefore :

R=R1+R2

R'=10 +10=20 ohm

Now R' and R3 are parallel , therefore

1/R"=1/R'+1/R3\\1/R"=1/20 + 1/10\\1/R"=3/20\\R"=20/3 ohm

Now , R4, R" and R5 are in series therefore , total R of circuit is :

R=R4+R"+R5\\R=10+20/3+10\\R=80/3 ohm \\R=26.6 ohm
