A Letter in Commemoration of Bapu 150th Birth Anniversary

P1, Apollo Avenue,

Bidhannagar,

Delhi.

Dear friend,

I am writing this letter to you to commemorate that 150th birth anniversary of our very own Bapuji. The father of our nation Mahatma Gandhi is a person we look up to and respect. And his birthday should be celebrated with great pomp and reverence.

Born on 2nd October in Porbandar, Gandhiji was a child with great intelligence, dedication towards learning and honesty. He was one of those great leaders who taught us to fight and protest without being violent. It was for him that we learnt the doctrines of non-violence and ahimsa. It was for his contributions along with other great freedom fighters like Netaji, Bhagat Singh that we gained freedom and won this struggle of independence from those cruel colonisers.

So let us remember our Bapuji with respect and honour in our hearts and celebrate his birth anniversary with joy and devotion.

                                                                        Yours affectionately,

                                                                           Rohan.
