Solution:

Total no of words present in the word "BOMBATIC" = 8

∴ No of Vowels = 3

Probability of getting a vowel from the given word

= No of vowels / Total no of letters

= 3/8

II) Consonants present in the word "BOMBATIC" are B, M, B, T, and C.

∴ No of Consonants = 5

Probability of getting a consonant from the given word

=  No of consonant / Total no of letters

= 5/8

Therefore, the probability that the letter chosen is an I) vowel is 3/8 II) consonant is 5/8.
