I MIGHT THINK ,THAT THE WORD IS ARITHMETIC

the total letter in the word arithmetics is =11 so , n{S}=11

The consonant are =7 so , n{E}=7

probability of getting consonant is P{E}=   n{E}/n{S}

                                                                      =7/11

SO THE PROBABILITY OF GETTING CONSONANTS IS 7/11

The word in the question ARTHMETICS. (Not ARITHMETICS).

Total no. of letters = 10 = No. of total outcomes.

No. of consonants = 7 = No. of favourable outcomes.

∴ Probability = 7 / 10 = 0.7.

(If it was ARITHMETICS, then the answer would be 7/11.)
