A letter to a friend in another country telling him or her about your plans after leaving high school

Answer:
I plan on going to a Junior college for two years before transferring to a four year college. Those first two years will help me financially as I plan on getting a job in construction after high school to earn money to help with my tuition. As for what I want to study that's when I go crazy. I have a few career paths but I don't know which one is good.
My first career choice was paleontology. I love prehistoric animals and stuff like that. The problem is that very few colleges offer the program so I'm not sure if that is a good path to follow. My second choice was acting. I had a lot of fun in my drama class so I thought I should take it as a career. The problem is that I would need to be very talented for that kind of job and it doesn't guarantee me that I would be successful after I graduate.
My third career choice was writing. I enjoy writing and creating fictional stories. However the chances of me being successful as a writer are very slim, so if I were to become a writer it wouldn't guarantee me that I will be successful at it. My current career choice is film director. At my school they have a filmmaking class as an elective and I enjoyed it. I'm right now looking at how directors work and stuff like that.
If none of these get me anywhere in life I might just take up a job in construction.
