Dear ____,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I would like todraw the attention of the railway authorities to the rampantcorruption prevalent in the railways.
At the ticket windows, tickets are not available for manydestinations, especially for the long distance trains. But by extra money to the touts one can get tickets for all such trains and for all the destinations.
Besides, one is able to get a berth by paying extra money to theTTE while one is inside the train. There is open corruption atticket windows and inside the trains.
The ticket-booking railway employees are hand in glove with tentouts. They declare 'no tickets available', for a particular train but the same tickets can he had from the touts.
Keeping the above in view, I appeal to the authorities that theyshould initiate punitive action against the corrupt railway officials and get the touts arrested so that the genuine travelers can travel without paying any bribe to the touts.
Thanking you.
Yours Sincerely,
