Subject:- Blatant cruelty against animals.
Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I want to express my views over the blatant cruelty against animals in our society. Animal cruelty is becoming a big problem everywhere. Animals are companions and living creatures.
They all have feelings just like humans. It is not right to hurt another human being, so why do it to someone's companion?
Animals have emotions. They feel the pain you cause them just like you would. People need to put themselves in that animal's place and think "What if I was an innocent creature and someone did those things to me?"
Even if you aren't the one causing harm to the animal, if you see an animal being hurt, beaten, or forced to fight, put a stop to it and end that poor animal's misery. Get help, tell someone.
Whoever does that to any animal deserves to be punished for it. In Idaho, inflicting harm to an animal is a misdemeanor. Don't hurt animals, it's not right, and eventually you will be caught.
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I appeal to the society to work concertedly to stop this cruelty against animals. I hope you will help me in sensitize the society.
Your truly,
Vikas

Subject: Flagrant Cruelty against Animals
Sir:
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I want to express my deep anguish over the flagrant cruelty against animals in our society. They are not only used as beasts of burden mercilessly, but also tortured in many ways. They are also used by many people in roadside shows to earn a living for themselves. They often treat these animals cruelly. I became very upset when last week I saw an outrageous beating of a horse by its owner on the road. The condition of other animals is equally deplorable. Every other day we can see the mangled bodies of dogs, cats, buffalos, mules, etc. on the roads.
These poor animals don’t have any habitats left unto them because of man’s urbanization. They are forced to live among men; but they are not being treated respectfully by man. The other day I was reading an article on internet. I came to know that cruelty against animals is illegal in our country! According to the Constitution of India: “It is the fundamental duty of every citizen of India to have compassion for all living creatures. Article 51A (g).” There is another law that says, “To kill or maim any animal, including stray animals, is a punishable offence. IPC Sections 428 and 429.”
Through the columns of your reputed daily, I appeal to the people, the Animal Welfare Societies, and the concerned Ministry and government authorities to work concertedly to stop this cruelty against animals. After all they are our fellow partners in existence. It is our responsibility to look after them. I hope you will help me in sensitize the people as well as the concerned authorities.
Thanking you,
Yours truly,
