Dear Sir,
Subject: Water shortage and supply of dirty water in our colony
This is to bring to the notice of the concerned authorities the problem of acute shortage of water and supply of polluted water in our area through the columns of your esteemed newspaper.
The colony gets fresh water supply only for half an hour in the morning daily. At times, water comes only on alternate days. This is not enough for any household even for their basic needs of washing and bathing. The water supplied is, at times, so dirty that it is unfit for consumption. There have been innumerable cases of jaundice and typhoid after consumption of this water. Families have to spend heavily on bottled water for drinking and water tanks to supplement the water supplied by Delhi government.
I hope the concerned authorities will take adequate and prompt steps to solve this problem.
Yours truly,
XYZ

Subject: Low quantity and irregular supply of water in 80 Civil Lines, Haridwar
Respected Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily newspaper, I woul like to highlight the problem of water scarcity in this locality.
For the last three weeks the locality of 80 Civil Lines is polluted and dirty supply of water. This can spread an epidemic of any disease. It is shocking that untreated water is supplied to the people without thinking of the consequences like Cholera, Diarrhoea and Typhoid.
Therefore, I earnestly request the concerned department and the authorities to immediately look into the matter. The water must be properly tested and only safe water should be supplied to the consumers.
Yours sincerely,
Nidhi
