Dear Father,
I am living well here in my school’s hostel and my studies are also going very well.
You will be very happy to know that I stood _______ (position) in my school examinations. The students of my class are planning to go for a picnic and I too am willing to attend the same. I will be enjoying myself there with my friends.
The purpose of writing this letter is to seek your permission and request you to allow me to go on a picnic with my friends. Teachers of the school along with guides will accompany us, so you do not need to worry.
