Subj-reckless driving spurt
I would like to draw the attention of the concerned authorities through the columns of your esteemed daily. It is matter of great concern that recently there has been a sudden spurt in the number of injuries and deaths caused by reckless driving by trucks and mini buses in the roads of Delhi. This issue has become a farce haunting thousands of innocent residents. these accidents mostly occur when the drivers of buses try to overtake other buses on the same route to pick up extra passengers to increase the sale of tickets.They recklessly ply their vehicles even along crowded roads,totally unmindful abut the safety of pedestrians or passengers boarding or getting down from them.Many think that the system of paying commission to drivers on amount of sales is responsible for such reckless driving on their part.If this is true ,a proper structure of salry for drivers and conductors of buses may help reduce the cases of accidents caused by such reckless driving and for the regural passengers who drive recklessly fining a hefty fee would work.
i hope my views go a long way in reducing the accidents and deaths caused by reckless driving.
