Subject :- Problems caused by the excessive use of plastic.
Dear Sir ,
Through the esteemed column - Commoner's Voice of your Newspaper, I would like to express my concern about the problems that Earth faces due to use of plastic which is not disposed properly.
Everyone today is dependent on plastic. Life without plastic is unthinkable. But people have forgot how the excessive use of plastic could hurt our mother Earth.
The usage is not the problem, the actual problem is that Plastic isn't disposed in a proper manner. Children eat the packet of chips and throw the wrapper on the ground and not in the Dustin.
Even the parents don't stop their kids from throwing it on the ground. Whenever I visit the river in my locality, I don't feel it to be a river any more ! It has all plastic waste in it.
About 80% marine animals die as they get trapped in plastic waste and die due to suffocation.
The plastic block the drainage system, it creates a big body of dirty water. It again causes infections and diseases.
Plastic also is a main reason for soil pollution. It doesn't get decomposed, humans dig a pit and throw the plastic in it. It pollutes the soil.
To get rid of plastic, many people burn it. It then creates a lot of smog with harmful particles and gasses, which inturn results to air pollution.
Please do print my letter in the newspaper it will create awareness about how plastic effects our Earth in a very negative way.
