Subject: Expressing concern about historical monuments.

Dear sir,

I, a concerned citizen of Delhi would like to bring it to your notice that the obsequious nature of Indians towards the rich heritage and culture is fading away.

Our historical monuments are in ruins due to neglect, which though intermittent, is enough to cause destruction. As citizens of the country,

we should try to uphold the honour and pride of our ancestors. With reference to the present time, we can say that the tourism of India has decreased quite steadily which has also made a dent in the country's economy.

The first step that the government can take is to organise campaigns. We all have to do addition and subtraction before calculus. The citizens should be made aware that vandalism is a cruel crime and severe penalties will be the ultimate result of it. Quintessential qualities of certain people are required. We ought to respect our history. Without it, we would be quite lost into oblivion. People should realize that monuments are not only pillars of our heritage but also the treasures of our past that is still useful in building a good tourism in the present and will be-at the very least -a subject of fascination for the generations to come.

I entreat you to publish this article in your newspaper to spread the word.

Thanking you,

Yours sincerely

Aruna
