Subject: Increasing population in metro cities

Dear Sir

Through this letter, I want to show my concern for the increasing population in metro cities leading to many practical problems for their residents. More and more people, in their desire to have a better life, flock to the metro cities resulting in the increased density of people in cities. It further stretches the city far beyond its outskirts into slums devoid of proper amenities like hygiene and sanitation.

On the other hand, the folks left behind in villages and towns face the problem of the lack of human resources to carry out farming activities. The aged are left alone and uncared for. The resources available there are not utilized to its fullest. The need of the hour is to have appropriate plans for village development as well. The villages abound in resources which need to be tapped adequately if we don't want them to be left out. The panchayats along with the state government can come forward to do their bit in this regard.

Thank you

Yours truly

Respected sir,

Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper I would like to express my deep concern over the problem of population explosion in the world, and more especially in our country. The governments of all the countries of the world along with the cooperation of their peoples must control population before it is too late. Through the medium of your esteemed daily, I appeal to the people to ponder over this issue and cooperate with the government of their respective states and countries in this regard. I hope my views will find enough space in your widely circulated daily.

Yours truly,
