Dear Vivek,

Take my best regards. I got your letter yesterday. It was with a shock when I learnt just this morning that you met with an accident while returning from college and that you were rushed to the district hospital. I am depressed and worried to hear the news

I can understand that you are in a great need of a good friend as attendant with you. But I am very sorry that I am unable to attend you. My mother is hospitalized here. I have to look after her all the time. But don’t worry. I must call on you as soon as she is O.K. Please don’t think otherwise.

With all good wishes for your speedy recovery.

Sincerely Yours,
