Dear mom,
How’ve you been? How’s everybody at home? All is great on my side. I really missed you and in few days I’ll be coming home from hostel because I’ve got my report card. I didn’t messaged or called you because that wouldn’t completely show my happiness, so I am writing this letter to you.

Yesterday, I was completely surprised as I was called in principal’s cabin. When I entered (principal’s name) appreciated me about my really very good marks, and also I topped in my hostel. I was really very happy because I studied a lot for these exams. I used to study 8 hours completely with short breaks in between to make you proud. In 9-10 days I am planning to visit you and show my report card. It also happens due to your and dad’s blessing and motivation.

Now, I end my letter and I hope that you are happy too. I would love to soon, hear it from your side.

Your daughter,
X.Y.Z

Hope the answer helps you
