Let,

The kinetic energy of both object be x.(so Ek1=Ek2=x). ........... eq(1)

Mass of heavy object be M1

Mass of lighter object be m1

So,M1>m1

We know that,

P=√Ek ×mass

Momentum of heavier object/Momentum of lighter object

=√Ek1×M1/√Ek2 ×m1

=√x×M1/√x ×m1

=√M1/m1

But it is given that M1>m1

Therefore momentum of heavier object is greater than momentum of lighter object.
