A light beam of intensity I falls on a surface perpendicularly .If 60 percent light is completely absorbed by the surface and 40 percent light is reflected then the radiation pressure on the surface is?

When a light ray falls normally on a prism,it experiences dispersion

Now Question arises : why it experience dispersion??

It experiences dispersion because the colours of white light gets refracted at different angles(due to varying wavelengths) ,thus leading to their separation.

But we observe dispersion because :

The opposite sides of prism are non-parallel due to which the emergent light gets deviated from its original path (path of incident light) and this emergent ray of light is not parallel to its incident ray of light.

In a glass slab, we do not observe dispersion because of the parallel opposite faces of glass slab. In glass slab, because of parallel faces, emergent light is parallel to incident light and thus the colours of light join together to form white light.

I hope you enjoyed and understood my answer!!
