A light ray incidence with 30º on the plane of a prism, after refraction it deviated with 25º then, find

out the prism angle.​

Given that,

Angle of incidence of light ray, i = 30°

Angle of deviation, \delta =25^{\circ}

To find,

The angle of prism.

Solution,

The relation between the angle of incidence, angle of deviation and the prism angle is given by :

A = 2i-\delta \\\\A=2(30)^{\circ}-25^{\circ}\\\\A=60^{\circ}-25^{\circ}\\A=35^{\circ}

So, the prism angle is 35 degrees.
