Answer: Angle of Prism = 35°

Explanation:

"The angle between two surfaces of a prism is known as refracting angle or angle of prism.”

It has been given in the question,

Angle of incidence (i)  = 30 degrees

Angle of emergence (e) = 30 degrees

Angle of deviation (z) = 25 degrees

We need to find the Angle of prism = A .

As per prism formula we know,

Angle of Incidence + Angle of Emergence = Angle of prism + Angle of deviation

i+e=A+z

30 +30=A+25

A = 35°

∴ Angle of Prism = 35°

Given :

Angle of incidence = 30°

Angle of refraction = 25°

To Find :

Angle of the prism = ?

Solution :

  • We know the relation

Angle of prism = 2(Angle of incidence) - Angle of deviation

  • Angle of prism = 2 (30) - 25
  • Angle of prism = 60-25
  • Angle of prism = 35°

The angle of prism is 35°
