Given :  A line of 2 meter is shown by 2cm on a scale

To Find :   it's representative fraction

Solution:

2 meter is shown by 2cm on a scale

=> 200 cm is  shown by 2cm on a scale

=>  100  is  shown by   1 cm on a scale

Hence 1    represents 100  

=> RF    representative fraction  = 1 : 100

Given :- A line of 2 meter Is shown by 2cm on a scale. What is it's representative fraction ?

Solution :-

we know that,

→ 1 m = 100 cm

so,

→ 2 m = 2 * 100 cm = 200 cm .

since 2 m is shown by 2 cm, then,

→ representative fraction = 2 cm : 200 cm = 2 : 200 = 1 : 100 (Ans.)
