Let the intercepts on x and y axes be OA and OB respectively.
A = (a,0) B (0, b)
Equation of the line L: x/a + y/b = 1
As AB is divided by P in ratio 3 : 4, we have:
1 = (3 * a + 4 * 0) / 7
=> a = 7/3
1 = (3 * 0 + 4 * b) / 7
=> b = 7/4
Equation: 3 x + 4 y = 7
==
It could also be 4 x + 3 y = 7 depending PA : PB = 3 : 4 or 4 : 3.
