Answer:

6x + 5x = 198cm

11x = 198cm

x = 198/11 = 18cm

Hence parts are 18 x 6 = 108 cm and 5 x 18 = 90 cm.

Length of longer piece = 108 cm

 \to The length of longer piece is 108 cm

 \large \bold{ \underline{ \underline{ \: Explaination  : \:  \:  \: }}}

Let ,

First part = 5x

Second part = 6x

According to the question ,

 \to 6x + 5x = 198 \\  \\  \to 11x = 198  \\  \\ </p><p></p><p> \to x =  \frac{198}{11}  \\  \\ </p><p></p><p> \to x = 18 \:  \:  \bold{cm}

So , the parts are 5 × 18 = 90 cm and 18 × 6 = 108 cm

Hence , the length of longer piece is 108 cm
