A line segment of 1 metre length is divided into two parts such that the first part is 2/3 of second part. Find the length of two parts in centimetres.

1M=100cm

From condition

X be the second part

Then first part=2/3x

SO x+2/3x=100cm

3X+2x=3*100

5x=300

x=300/5

X=60

Second part

=60cm

FIrst part=2*60/3cm

=40cm
