According to 1st condition,
x+y=9.5 ---------(i)
According to 2nd condition,
3x=5y => x=5y/3 -------(ii)
=>5y/3+y=9.5(Replacing value of x from ii to i)
=>8y/3=9.5
=>y=(3×9.5)/8=28.5/8=3.5625 cm
=>x=9.5-3.5625=5.9375 cm
