A lion chases a deer 30 m ahead of it and gains 3m in 5 sec after the chase started.after 20 sec the distance between them is ?

if the lion gained 3 metres only once then the distance between them is 27 metres..

if the lion continues to gain 3 m in every 5 seconds then after 20 secs the distance between them becomes 18 m.
because
lion covers in 5 secs = 3m
=> 1 sec = 3/5 m
=> 20 secs = 3/5 × 20= 12m.
subtract 12 m from 30....
so the answer is 18 m.
