a lion has sharp pointed teeth while a buffalo has flat, broad teeth. why do you think the teeth in these animals differ?

The lions have sharp, pointed canine teeth for tearing the flesh of it's hunted prey. It is a carnivore, so especially it needs canines for eating the hard, chewy flesh.

A buffalo has broader teeth ( incisors and molaric pairs ) to cut and chew the grass as it is a herbivore.
