Hey buddy,

This is problem from fluid mechanics.

Consider a tank with radius r and height H filled with water.

Now an orifice is made at height h from the ground so that water flows out of it.

Given-

Rmax = 6m

h = ?

Solution -

Water comes out of orifice through tank in projectile motion.

For maximum horizontal distance in projectile motion-

Rmax = 2h

h = Rmax/2

h = 6/2

h = 3m

Hence height h of the orifice from the ground is 3m.

Best luck for exams...
