a) The colored part of the eye which helps regulate the amount of light entering the eye. When there is bright light, the iris closes the pupil to let in less light. And when there is low light, the iris opens up the pupil to let in more light. Focuses light rays onto the retina.

b) The retina is an essential part of the eye that enables vision. It's a thin layer of tissue that covers approximately 65 percent of the back of the eye, near the optic nerve. Its job is to receive light from the lens, convert it to neural signals and transmit them to the brain for visual recognition.

c) Eyes of a dead person can be donated to a person having corneal blindness. It will help him/her see the world. We can also register ourselves to donate our eyes. The organisations that put up eye donation camps preserve our eyes after our death and donate them to the needy.
