Hello dear friend,
Here is your answer:
I went to an old age home last week as a part of scout & guide activity. I went there with my friends & our teacher. We were supposed to spend 2 hours there. We did so many things there-- like we cleaned the place, we gave little gifts (sweets, cards etc.) to the senior citizens there & we also presented a cultural event to the old citizens there.
I was really moved & shaken by the stories of those senior citizens. They told that they had a family , when the children grew up , they were felt like a burden to them. Some of them gave the idea to come at that place & some were forced to do so. An old mother cried a lot while sharing her story and hugged me . She told me that she was very happy to meet us & that reminded her of her children. They all were really adorable & vulnerable .I hated the idea of old-age home after listening to every sobs of those old people. They took care of their children & as a reward their children sent them to such a place. I saw how they comforted each other by sharing their stories .They talked about their memorable days of life to make themselves happy.
We really enjoyed there & the old citizens really felt happy by our visit. They invited us again & blessed us heartily. I really think about how cruel-hearted those children are who send their parents to old-age home & make them fell homeless. We should seriously consider this matter & stop such incidents in our society. How can a child be so harsh to the parents & send those parents to old-age home in their last years , who never thought to send their child to orphanage when he was born? This question really need to be considered by every child. Our parents are our responsibility not burden!- this is what i learned from that old-age home..
Hope this is helpful!! thankyou & goodluck!! :)
