Number of customer served by chain in a day = 502

given that

Number of customer served by shop in a day = 2/9 of Number of customer served by chain in a day

Number of customer served by shop in a day = 2/9 × 502 = 111.555

⇒ 112    ( since 111.555 is more close to 112 than 111 )

hence local shop serve 112 customers in a day.
