Three protocols include -

• Bluetooth - Bluetooth is a worldwide, 2.4 GHz personal area wireless short-range communication network. Bluetooth is often used to allow device-to - device file transfers, wireless speakers, and wireless headsets. However, the usage of bluetooth now is quite low.
• 2G - 2G is the cellular "old-school" TDMA standard. It was used by ATMs and old security systems and is phased out or in the process of phasing out in most parts of the world. With the advancement in technology, 2G was considered as too slow and has now become rampant as people have switched to more fast networks.
• 5G - While it possibly won't be launched for another five years, 5G is expected to be the next generation standard for cellular networks. It is planned for high throughput and it will possibly face the same problems as 3 G and 4G.
