Given :- A local University has 2650 students . 30% study engineering , 24% study business management , 26% study medical science and the rest study communication & journalism . If 60 % of engineering students got a scholarship , how engineering students didn't have a scholarship ?

Answer :-

→ Total students = 2650

→ Study engineering = 30% = 2650 * 30/100 = 795 students .

now, since 60% engineering students got a scholarship then 40% of engineering students didn't have a scholarship .

then,

→ number of engineering students didn't have a scholarship = 40% of 795 = (40 * 795)/100 = 318 students (Ans.)
