A long horizontal piece of wood EF is suspended above the ground, as shown in the diagram, by two ropes EBand FD which are tied to two bamboo 
   poles AB and CD of equal lengths. The bamboo poles are at equal distances from the edge of wooden piece. The bamboo poles are supported by two 
   different ropes GB and HD respectively as shown in the figure.

sure it's 3 because total length of the hight of poles are 4ft and G and B is 3ft because 1 ft is shorter than pole so that's y D and H is also same so the answer is 3
